“We budget a certain amount each summer for camps and other summer programs. The voucher from Rec Council allowed [my daughter] to do something extra that is beyond our summer budget. She benefited immensely from the [specialized camp] that she attended the last two summers! She enjoyed attending camp with others that have the same disability and being able to participate in traditional camp activities. She enjoyed the independence workshops where they had life lessons to increase their independence in everyday living.
