Join the Recreation Council for a fabulous day of Pickleball fun while raising money to send a child to summer camp. Men and women of all skill levels are welcome. Pickleball Tournament Flyer

Date: Saturday, May 18 beginning at 10:00 am

Location: Chicken and Pickle, 1500 S. Main Street (behind the QT off south 5th Street)

Cost: $100 per team of 2 players

  • Double elimination tournament so you are guaranteed 2 games
  • Recreational bracket and Competitive bracket
  • $10 gift card you can spend on food or drinks
  • Limited to 24 teams
  • Medals awarded for top teams

Adapted Pickleball Night, Wednesday, April 24 from 6-9pm Chicken N Pickle, St. Charles, MO. Join us for a fun-filled night where we welcome ALL communities to learn, enjoy and bring awareness to adaptive pickleball. Evening included a beginner clinic & open play for all abilities & skill levels, equipment provided, and 2 sports wheelchairs on site. Spectators are welcome. FREE, but registration is requested.

From physical access to individual support plans, to creative exploration and learning options, we’ll touch on it all, including how you can access resources to support your people. PARKING is FREE: Park in the north lot (tell attendant you are with Rec Council) or on the street and enter The Living World building at North Entrance to the Zoo. Take the elevator or stairs to Lower Rotunda and follow the signs to the meeting room.

Evening of Entertainment

Event Happened in March, 2024,

We had a wonderful time at the EVENING OF ENTERTAINMENT while raising funds for the Recreation Council Scholarship Program

On March 9, The Recreation Council and Access for ALL hosted the 2024 Evening of Entertainment talent show of people with disabilities. This evening showcase included music, dancing, poetry reading, magic, comedy, and a special boxing exhibit by The Boxing Therapy. Five talented winners were selected an received cash prizes. Ride to Unite

Plans are coming for 2024, Scheduled for Labor Day Weekend-Saturday, August 31, 2024

Mark your calendar now for the 2024 Gateway Cup Ride to Unite, to be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024,  at Francis Park in South St. Louis (map). This FREE family event brings people of all ages and abilities together to enjoy a non-competitive 4-lap ride around the prestigious Gateway Cup Course alongside elite cyclists and local celebrities. Photos from THE 2023 RIDE: Cyclists of all abilities and all types of cycles were invited to take 4 laps around Francis Park’s closed race course. Afterwards, the cyclists stayed to enjoy the exciting Gateway Cup races and festivities.
