Ride to Unite

Saturday, September 2, 2023, 8am registration; 9:15 ride

Gateway Cup Ride to Unite, Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Francis Park in South St. Louis (map). This FREE family event brings people of all ages and abilities together to enjoy a non-competitive 4-lap ride around the prestigious Gateway Cup Course alongside elite cyclists and local celebrities.

THE RIDE: Cyclists (all types of cycles welcome) are invited to take 4 laps around Francis Park’s closed race course. If 4 laps is too long, cyclists may exit the course at any time. Afterwards, stick around and enjoy the exciting Gateway Cup races and festivities. View our FLYER HERE

 Pre-Registration Preferred – Click HERE ~ On day of event, you can register beginning at 8am and the ride begins sharply at 9:15 AM.

For cyclists who are not able to transport their cycle to the event, contact Sue Fleming at 314-726-6044 x101.

Recreation Providers Meeting

Summer is over, so join us to celebrate your successes at the quarterly meeting of recreation program providers.

Network with your fellow providers and join us as guest speakers from the O’Fallon parks Department talk about planning for inclusion in programs open to the public. They will also touch on the UKERU system of addressing challenging behaviors for successful inclusion of all participants. We will tour the park and top off our day with a complementary lunch and games.

Bring materials to share with about 30 attendees, or information on how to connect to your online resources. Please forward to other recreation providers or folks within your organization who provide recreation services. Flyer

Practice your skills now to be ready for the talent show.  Access-4-All Sponsors this event for individuals of all abilities to share their talents in a performance that must include at least one person with a disability and can be up to five minutes long. Individual and group performances are being sought. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place winners in each category. Recognition Ceremony

THANK YOU to everyone who joined us on March 23, 2023 to recognize individuals and organizations who have provided outstanding work in the area of leisure and recreation opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This year’s guest speaker, Gabriel Cobb, gave a wonderful presentation about his participationg in many activities including triathlons, taekwondo, cooking, playing the piano, and more.

2020 Outstanding Recreation Provider: This long overdue award (due to Covid cancelations)was presented to Janine Roe, Ranken Jordan Pediatric Speciality for the Hospital “Fishing Program”
