Special Journeys Travel Program for People with Disabilities
Special Journeys provides chaperoned tours for adults who need assistance traveling. Our goal is to provide fun, well-planned and reasonably priced vacations that are staffed with experienced volunteers and tour leaders. We are a local company exclusively serving those states in the Midwest where we can physically pickup and drop-off our travelers in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota.

UMSL Succeed Enrichment Camp
UMSL Succeed
The SUCCEED Summer Enrichment Camp provides students ages 17 to 22 the SUCCEED college experience. Students will stay overnight in Oak Hall, utilize a meal plan on campus, take various academic workshops, complete vocational training, and engage in recreational and traditional camp activities on campus.

Camp Mo-Val, United Church of Christ
Camp MoVal is located on 280 acres that includes beautiful forest, native prairie, streams and a lake. Facilities include a dining and meeting hall, four lakeside cabins, two retreat lodges, two rustic camping villages, high and low ropes courses, a boat and fishing dock, game and archery fields, hiking trails, and more. We offer inclusive youth summer camp, adult special needs camp, and family retreats.
Adventures in Community is a specialized camp week designed for adults ages 18+ with special needs, who are active and can independently care for their needs. Campers participate in most traditional camp activities including swimming, canoeing, crafts, fishing, games, karaoke, and more, as well as exploring our faith. Camp starts at 4pm on Sunday and ends Friday at 9am.

Heartland Camp
Overnight Summer Camp for Adults with Disabilities
God can use camp as a life changing experience for everyone which is why we developed this program for adults with developmental disabilities that are high functioning. during this 4-day overnight experience, campers participate in Christian-focused activities including Bible study, worship, swimming, crafts, games, carnival, dance party and a final talent show to end the week. Campers stay in our air-conditioned buildings and be with our trained staff at all times. Vehicles are available for those who are not able to walk our hills.

Whether this is your first time paddling or you’re a bonafide river rat, Big Muddy Adventures has a trip for you. We offer a wide range of options, from hour-long paddles to multi-day expeditions to private island dinners on the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. We can customize a trip for your group and we make accommodations to support people with disabilities to attend our trips.

Friendship Ministry for Adults with Special Needs
Chesterfield Presbyterian Church
The Friendship Ministry meets Sunday 9am and Thursday 7pm to reach out in love to the greater St. Louis community, leading adults with special needs. By God’s word, through God’s love, and with God’s promises to individuals, we train these unique people to live within a church community. Each week, we gather for a variety of learning experiences led by a team of gifted, trained, loving, and enthusiastic Friendship Class ministry team members.

Concordia Lutheran Church
Concordia’s Special Needs Ministry offers a weekly Bible fellowship class for adults with special needs ages 18 and up. The class will begin with Biblical instruction delivered in a way that is accessible to adults with special learning needs. Concordia also has a youth programs for special needs including a Buddy Ministry, Deaf Ministry, sensory room, and summer VBS for kids with special needs.

Felice Cuores Party Time Adult Social
St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church
Felice Cuores Party Time! A party for adults, 18 and older, with cognitive and developmental disabilities. The parties are from 7pm to 10pm on the second Saturday of each month from September thru May. A $5 entry fee includes DJ, soda, snacks and door prizes. The parties are chaperoned by the Knights of Columbus and the Ladies’ Auxiliaries. There is no charge for parents or caregivers who choose to stay.

ACTION Monthly Adult Social Group
Achieving Christ in Our Neighborhood (ACTION) – This is a ministry for developmentally disabled adults who are sometimes overlooked in the mainstream activities of daily parish life and the opportunities offered for social, ministerial, and outreach activities. A group of volunteers holds monthly themed events with lunch for the participants, their parents, and caregivers. Attendees participate in fun activities while parents and caregivers share ideas and offer support to each other.
