Fishing and Hunting Programs for People with Disabilities
Kemp Lake Game Preserve is a unique environment that has been thoughtfully planned and built to allow disabled and handicapped individuals a complete outdoor experience. We host events for individuals, groups, and non-profits. Our events can include:
- Guided fishing (bass, bluegill & crappie)
- Guided hunting (deer, turkey, quail & pheasant)
- Guided bird-watching excursions
- Guided exploration in electric vehicles
Annually in July, Kemp Lake does a one day fishing event called Cast for Kids for youth with disabilities. Guided hunts can be arranged, or plan a relaxing picnic by the lake or a stroll down a trail. Contact Kemp Lake to make arrangements for your visit.

New Directions for people with disabilities, inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing high- quality local, national, and international travel vacations and holiday programs for people with mild to moderate developmental disabilities. Based in Santa Barbara California, our profoundly enriching travel programs expand the self-esteem of every traveler. Whole new worlds of understanding open for both participants and the general population. Through these unique programs, people with disabilities are increasingly understood, appreciated and accepted as important and contributing members of our world.

Missouri Families for Effective Autism Treatment
MO-FEAT empowers individuals and their families to achieve their full potential through navigating systems, services and supports and making informed choices. Every individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder shall receive access to the supports and services they need to become valued and welcome participants in home, work, school, play, and health.

Butterfly Dreams is a nonprofit organization which provides an opportunity for girls, women, boys and men with significant intellectual disabilities/developmental delays to participate in both an annual pageant and numerous yearly activities promoting the event. Night To Shine
The Tim Tebow Foundation exists to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. Our largest event is Night To Shine Formal Dance for individuals with disabilities. The dance happens worldwide in February and is sponsored by local churches and faith-based organizations.

Special Journeys Travel Program for People with Disabilities
Special Journeys provides chaperoned tours for adults who need assistance traveling. Our goal is to provide fun, well-planned and reasonably priced vacations that are staffed with experienced volunteers and tour leaders. We are a local company exclusively serving those states in the Midwest where we can physically pickup and drop-off our travelers in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota.

Youth Overnight Camp, Specialized Adult Week
Camp Mo-Val, United Church of Christ
Camp MoVal is located on 280 acres that includes beautiful forest, native prairie, streams and a lake. Facilities include a dining and meeting hall, four lakeside cabins, two retreat lodges, two rustic camping villages, high and low ropes courses, a boat and fishing dock, game and archery fields, hiking trails, and more. We offer inclusive youth summer camp, adult special needs camp, and family retreats.
Adventures in Community is a specialized camp week designed for adults ages 18+ with special needs, who are active and can independently care for their needs. Campers participate in most traditional camp activities including swimming, canoeing, crafts, fishing, games, karaoke, and more, as well as exploring our faith. Camp starts at 4pm on Sunday and ends Friday at 9am.

Family Retreat and Support Services
Retreat is a safe and accepting Christ-centered camp environment where individuals and families living with disability are cared for, encouraged, and rejuvenated. A loving and trained volunteer attends activities with our campers with special needs while parents, siblings and caregivers attend programming worry free. We also offer year-round support services including family fun nights, marriage enrichment, and parent support groups.
