Specialized Summer and School Break Day Camps for Youth
Social Opportunities and Recreation (SOAR) provides families, with children ages 12 – 21 enrolled in middle and high school, with three program options at various locations throughout St. Charles County: Teen Club, Break Camp, and Summer Camp. All three program options are provided within an engaging, fun, safe, and supervised environment where the children are encouraged to enhance their independence, as well as their communication, socialization, and job/life skills.

Giant Steps of St. Louis
Specialized Education for Youth with Autism
Giant Steps provides a structured and highly specialized learning environment for children with autism who would otherwise struggle in a traditional school. Students are provided with individualized instruction by staff who are trained in the use of evidence-based teaching strategies related to autism. Students receive instruction in academic skills, daily living, vocational training, self-help, and social skills.

Albert Pujols Wellness Center
St. Luke's Hospital
The Albert Pujols Wellness Center for Adults with Down Syndrome is the first of its kind in the St. Louis area and helps fill a growing need for wellness services for adults with Down syndrome. Patients ages 17 years and older receive a comprehensive physical and are referred to various services focused on nutrition, exercise, safety and social/emotional well-being. The center offers classes on various topics including yoga, music, fitness, performing arts, plus caregiver classes and programs. This service complements the patients’ regular visits with their primary care physician for other medical issues.

UCP Heartland Day Camp
Specialized Summer Day Camp for Youth
UCP Heartland offers a summer day camp for school aged children with a developmental disability who live in St. Louis County. Other services include Adult Day Habilitation, Autism Services, Early Childhood Development, Family Services, 24-Hour Adult Respite, Employment Training & Placement, Independent Residential Living, and Services Navigator.

Code Ninjas Computer Coding & Day Camp
At Code Ninjas, we believe the world will be a better place when our children are writing the code. The skills they learn while coding, algorithmic and computational thinking, leadership and creativity, to name a few, will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Summer Camps for ages 7-14, school year “Create” program for ages 8-14, school year program “Code Ninja’s Jr.” for ages 5-7, and parent night out sessions.

Music Therapy Piano Lessons
Private Instruction
Music Therapy or Adapted Piano Lessons for persons with special needs. Lessons provided in South St. Louis. Nicole Schmitt, MT-BC, specializes in Early Childhood, Special Education, and Neurodiverse Populations. She is a board certified music therapist employed by Midwest Music Therapy Services for 10 years. Nicole specializes in preschool music and movement groups and services for neurodiverse populations. She is also adjunct faculty at Maryville University in the music therapy department.

Endurance Racing for All Abilities
We assist individuals with significant physical and cognitive disabilities to participate in endurance events such as marathons, races, walks, and runs. Through participation in endurance events, Ainsley’s Angels aims to build awareness about America’s special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life, by promoting awareness, providing education, and participating as active members in local communities.
