UCP Heartland offers a summer day camp for school aged children with a developmental disability who live in St. Louis County
A specialized day camp for children with autism provides 6 weeks of summer fun. Campers spend the mornings in therapeutic activities and afternoons in the community.
Social Opportunities and Recreation (SOAR) provides families, with children ages 12 – 21 enrolled in middle and high school, with three program options at various locations throughout St. Charles County: Teen Club, Break Camp, and Summer Camp. All three program options are provided within an engaging, fun, safe, and supervised environment where the children are encouraged to enhance their independence, as well as their communication, socialization, and job/life skills.
Variety’s Adventure Camp program provides a free day camp experience to kids and teens with special needs throughout the St. Louis region. Camp makes it possible for Variety Kids to have exciting adventures and meet lifelong friends.
Adventure Camp is available to children ages 4 – 16 and is offered for multiple weeks throughout the summer as well as a few days over winter break. Teen Camp is open to those ages 14 – 20 and is available several weeks of the summer as well as a few days in winter.
Continuing Education is the non-credit program for ages 16 and older who want to improve their lives through education. Enjoy experiential, life-long learning in a diverse, inclusive community with courses continually evolving for an ever-changing world. College For Kids is our summer day camp program for youth in grades K-8 which happens on our Meramec Campus. We provide engaging, impactful summer learning opportunities that span varied skill levels and student interests that provide a week of exploration that kids absolutely love. Access Office services provide accommodations for those with disabilities.

Our Continuing Education division offers a wide variety of non-credit classes for all ages including arts, crafts, computers, music, recreation, dance, fitness, sports, theater, language and more. One of our latest developments is a series of cooking, photography, and We also offer specialized classes designed for those with disabilities. Browse our class offerings here. In the summer, we have a huge “College for All Kids” day camp program for youth ages 3-16.

The St. Louis Jewish Community Center (The J) is a multigenerational gathering place, offering a variety of programs and services for the St. Louis Jewish community and the community at large. We welcome people of all backgrounds and faiths. The J provides educational, cultural, social, Jewish identity-building and recreational programming on its campuses in Creve Coeur, Chesterfield and at Camp Sabra, located at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The YMCA offers a wide variety of programs for adults and youth, including sports, swimming lessons, swim teams, break camps, special events, a 12-week inclusive summer camp for children, and integrated school-age child care. Financial assistance is available to reduce the membership fee for low income families and individuals. TREE House has provided award-winning equestrian therapy programs for individuals, ages 2 and up, with disabilities since 1975. The day camp, Camp Champ, is open to children ages 5 and up of all abilities and horse experience.
Exceptional Equestrians of the Missouri Valley, Inc. (EEMV) is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization that provides enjoyable, affordable horsemanship experiences for therapeutic effect, developing and strengthening mind, body and spirit. We serve individuals with disabilities ages 2 and up with a wide range of diagnosis from autism to down syndrome to ADHD. We offer therapeutic riding and vaulting, a military veteran program, and summer camp for children.
Our facility is an ideal playground for children with special medical needs, siblings and friends. Year-round classes and activities are free for children of all abilities and their families. We offer everything from golf to fishing to yoga for toddlers to teens.

Team Activities for Special Kids (TASK) is a nonprofit 501(c)3, year-round instructional sports program that provides athletic and social opportunities to kids with special needs. The purpose of the program is to help build self-esteem and skills in children with special needs.
LifeBridge Partnership responds to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities by impowering them through Recreation Therapy in their community. They provide a variety of events including physical fitness, shopping, bowling, eating out, swimming, day camps, break camps and movies. Our summer day camp serves youth through age 18, and up to age 21 if still in school.
ScoutsBSA (formerly Boy Scouts of America) proudly serves boys and girls ages 6-20. Youth join a Cub Scout Pack, Scouts-BSA troop, Venture Crew, or Exploring Post designed for their age group and follow the a structured year-round program that develops outdoor skills, service to our community, leadership, and personal skills. Girl Scouts Council of Greater St. Louis is committed to helping all girls from every background to develop confidence, determination, and skills needed to thirive in today’s world. The Girls Scout programs is based on the Girl Scout Promise and law, and is adapted to meet the developmental, eudcational, emotional, and social needs and interest of firls at five levels of girls ages K-12 grades. COCA provides meaningful arts experiences for youth and adults in our own studio and through community outreach programs. We nurture the artistic and creative potential through classes in art & design, dance, fitness, theatre, and voice. We pride ourselves on offering some of the most creative Spring & Summer Arts Camps for youth ages 3-18.
Enriching and empowering community through craft. We are a non-profit art center offering contemporary craft exhibitions, classes, free community programs, and a gallery shop featuring the work of national and regional artists. The Jensen-Schmidt Tennis Academy is designed to meet the sport specific needs of children and young adults with Down Syndrome. Through a high level of motivational exercises and positive attitudes, our staff is dedicated to giving our students training in tennis, all the while having fun and building relationships. Our day camp comes to the St. Louis metro area one week per summer.
This week-long summer program is for children ages 8 and older who want to learn to ride a 2-wheel bike. Our 75 minute lesson uses a graduated method with 80% of our camp participants riding a typical two-wheel bike independently by the end of our 5-day program. We also welcome volunteer spotters who can run beside the riders as they learn. The Lydia Faith Cox Family Foundation was established in 2009 in memory of Lydia who filled us with joy for 3 beautiful years.

At the Starkloff Disability Institute, we help adults and youth with disabilities prepare for the next step in their professional life. Adults entering or already in the workforce have opportunities to build professional skills, network with business leaders, and find a job in their desired field. Youth can join programs and events that expose them to numerous career fields and help them build professional skills for the future. In the summer, we offer the DREAM BIG camp for teens to explore career options.
